Favorite Logos

I enjoy wearing the brand Ariat, which is a horse riding apparel brand. Other than the fact that they have great quality clothing, I like their logo because it is very clever. It took me years to actually figure out what the logo was but I still liked it because it was a shield like shape and was small but detailed. Later on I figured out that the logo is actually three interlocking horseshoes which I think is the most clever idea ever. It looks like a keltic knot mixed with a flower like shape.

From the best logo links, I think the 38 dots logo is the best. The name has dots in the name and the logo is a 38 made up of dots. It really caught my attention because it is clever and very visually appealing. The different colored dots provide variety in the logo and the different sized dots do the same. Overall I think it is the most clever and most appealing logo out of them all.

Portrait Transformation

I chose to turn my sister, Sofia, into half tiger because she is fierce and the tiger is fierce. I used different tools such as: the smudge tool, erasing with high feathering and low opacity, and other tools to try to make her face and the tiger head blend. I also made the background black because I felt like the purple background didn't math my concept of "fierce-ness". I feel like mine was successful because I blended the face in well and matched the eye with the tiger eye.

Gif and Reflection

Reflection:
While using Photoshop I found drawing the individual details of the smile to be the most difficult. It wouldn't be difficult if I had a tablet so it could be like drawing on paper, but drawing with a mouse was very difficult and I had trouble making the curves the way I wanted.
After completing the project, I now feel most comfortable using the drawing tool. At the beginning it was hard, because as I stated before it is hard to draw with a mouse, but since there was a lot of doing everything by hand with my symbol, I was able to practice using the brush tool and I feel confident using it.
I wish I were more comfortable using the marquee tools because I didn't use them at all for my entire project. I know how to use them but I am not at all confident when using them. Also I have trouble using the inverted marquee tool because I've never tried using that ever.
Since I do photography on an amateur level, I am going to start selling my prints on a public website. Next time on photoshop I would like to learn how to properly edit a photo and edit things out of them so my pictures are worth buying. Already I have apps and stuff that help me edit things out of my pictures so I can start selling prints, but I feel like photoshop would make it more clean and professional. I plan on selling prints in the next couple weeks so I would like to learn how to do all that stuff sooner than later.

Graphic Hand Lettering

                                  Graphic Hand Lettering

Graphic Hand Lettering
Graphic Hand Lettering is pretty much a statement that makes up an image using the words. It can be for a company or to convey a message. Using the image with the text just strengthens the message that is it conveying because it incorporates pictures and shapes along with words that are directly stating the message.
This has impacted the graphic design world because it directly relates text and images to make a message stronger. It incorporates typography and drawing images and this is the first it has ever been done. Making an image out of text can strengthen a message visually and that has drastically changes the graphic design world.

Inspiration

Something that deeply inspires me is photography. Ive only been doing photography for a little less than a year but it has so much deep meaning for me. It is amazing that one can capture a specific moment and represent all the emotions felt in that moment. I express myself through my photography when words wont work. It inspires me to work harder towards becoming better and to spend more time learning about photography. My instagram has really helped me with my photography because i have 13.5k people who support my photography and who help me get better. I also have professional photographers who follow me on instagram so they give me profesional advice. Photography is something more than just taking picture, its capturing a moment in time, a moment that will never happen again. I especially love candid photography because people can fake emotions for a picture. For this reason i also prefer horse or animal photography because horses dont put on a fake smile for a picture, they just be who they are and you can capture their true beauty.

Letter Project and Reflection

Letter project reflection:

1. My process was just envisioning different things that can be in the shape of an "A" my initial design ended up not looking as apparent to be an "A" so i changed my idea. I wanted to do something with my favorite animal, a horse, and i wanted to do something not realistic looking.
2. The way i arrived with my concept of nature or animals is because i love animals. I represent my concept because my letter is made up of two horses.
3. The most challenging aspect of my project was that i wanted to add detail to my design but i didnt want it to get cluttered so that it wouldn't look like the letter. I ended up with going with a simple idea so it looks as clean and like the letter as possible.
4. Im extremely satisfied with my project because it turned out exactly how i wanted it to. I wanted a bold outline and clean coloring and that is exactly what my project is.
5. If i were to change something i may want to either add more color or add more detail inside the horses to make them more realistic.

The pictures are in chronological order.
